Grasmere village is within the Central Lakes where an abundance of activities await you. Walking on the fells in any direction from St Oswalds takes you to glorious views.
The literary minded can visit the homes of William Wordsworth, Samuel Coleridge and Beatrix Potter. Bring a
paint brush,sit on the Knoll in our garden for one of the most beautiful paintings you could produce.

History is all around with ancient stone circles,Roman Forts,castles and keeps, even a trip to Hadrians Wall is only 1 hours drive away. Wet days can be spent in the National Park visitors centre, the many museums such as the Armitt in Ambleside.
We also have an aquarium, wild life park,nature trails etc.

We defy you to be bored in the Lake District.
